A busy year!

Had a good weekend. Three of Colleen's kids had a birthday party yesterday. It tried to rain a few times but never really did. They had pizza and subs for everyone, and a cake I managed to drop something into the frosting of. LOL

They invited some of their old public school friends. They were all really nice kids, but there was one who was a complete doll. His name is Marwan. He was so easy going that he waited until after everyone else had left to tell Colleen that a girl was making fun of his name, calling him "moron." After he asked her to stop, she would say "But that's your name, moron." (I don't know who it was... just that it was a girl from our homeschool group.) Anyway, it was a nice party and I am glad my boys were invited.

Tomorrow we might go to the Ann Arbor Hands on Museum with a group of people from our local group. (Well, I know Melissa is going... not sure who else.)

Today we are going to the park to eats Ice Cream that Sandy has left over from the "Not Back to School Picnic." The boys are really looking forward to it!

This year it looks like we are going to be over committed. Christian has Boy Scouts on Monday night and is interested in Civil Air Patrol that meets on Tuesday. One a month on Wednesdays we have lit club and Friday's we are going to get together with Colleen and do science, art, etc... and have our older kid OM meeting. Not sure yet when the younger kids will meet... have to talk to Evie and Cindy. The boys are interested in Karate, and when we meet will depend on where I decide to have them take lessons. Toss in school, occasional weekly get togethers and other family commitments and it is shaping up to be a busy year!

Well, I am off to the Ice Cream Social!
